Key Responsibilities :
- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views for data manipulation and retrieval.
- Develop and optimize SQL code for performance and scalability.
- Design and implement database schemas and data models.
- Perform data analysis and profiling.
- Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SQL.
- Administer and maintain database systems (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle - specify).
- Monitor database performance and identify areas for optimization.
- Implement database security measures.
- Perform database backups and recovery.
- Analyze query execution plans and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize SQL code and database configurations for performance.
- Implement indexing strategies and partitioning techniques.
- Extract and analyze data to support business reporting and decision-making.
- Develop reports and dashboards using SQL and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand reporting requirements.
- Integrate database systems with other applications and platforms.
- Automate database tasks using scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
- Work closely with other developers, data engineers, and business analysts.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of code quality.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7-12 years of professional experience in SQL development.
- Deep understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and related technologies.
- Experience with at least one major database system (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
