Senior Oracle/PL-SQL Developer - Database Design & Maintenance (8-12 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team.

As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical Oracle PL/SQL applications.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our database-driven systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.

- Develop and implement data integration solutions using PL/SQL.

- Work with large datasets and perform data manipulation and transformation tasks.

- Develop and implement robust data security and access control mechanisms.

- Participate in database design and schema development.

- Optimize database performance through SQL tuning and indexing.

- Ensure data integrity and consistency.

- Diagnose and resolve complex database-related issues.

- Perform root cause analysis for production errors and implement corrective actions.

- Provide Level 3 technical support for database-related incidents.

- Collaborate effectively with other developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.

- Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Oracle database technologies and best practices.

- Explore and implement new technologies and tools to improve development efficiency and database performance.

Qualifications :

Essential :

- 8+ years of professional experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.

- Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, including advanced SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.

- Experience with large-scale database systems and high-volume data processing.

- Experience with data integration and ETL processes.

- Strong understanding of database design principles and best practices.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred :

- Experience in the BFSI domain.

- Experience with large file handling and data warehousing.

- Experience with XML/JSON object handling in PL/SQL.

- Experience with API platforms and API integration.

- Knowledge of data encryption/decryption/reduction techniques.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies
