Playwright Automation Engineer (4-9 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for UI testing.

- Implement best practices for test automation, including Page Object Model (POM) and other design patterns.

- Create and manage test data for automated tests.

- Develop and maintain test frameworks and utilities to support test execution and reporting.

- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.

- Participate in test planning sessions and contribute to test strategy development.

- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.

- Identify and report defects using bug tracking systems (Jira, Bugzilla).

- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

- Enhance and maintain existing test automation frameworks.

- Research and evaluate new testing tools and technologies, particularly within the Playwright ecosystem.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process.

- Develop and execute automated API tests using tools like Playwright's API testing capabilities, or other relevant API testing tools.

- Integrate API tests with UI tests for end-to-end test coverage.

- Utilize Playwright or integrate with performance testing tools to measure performance metrics and identify bottlenecks.

- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.

- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Participate in agile development methodologies.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 4-9 years of professional experience in software testing, specializing in test automation.

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.

- Extensive hands-on experience with Playwright for UI test automation.

- Deep understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

- Experience with test automation frameworks and design patterns.

- Experience with version control systems (Git).

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
