Data Migration Architect

The Data Migration Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based data architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes for clients. He/She will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data governance, data warehousing, and data management are implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend requirements gathering workshops, estimation discussions, design meetings, and status review meetings
• Experience in Solution Design and Solution Architecture for the data engineer model to build and implement Big Data Projects on-premises and on the cloud
• Professional experience facilitating and leading solution design, architecture and delivery planning activities for data-intensive and high throughput platforms and applications
• To be able to benchmark systems, analyses system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them
• Develop, construct, test and maintain architectures and run Sprints for the development and roll-out of functionalities
• Data Analysis, Code development experience in any of the stack : ETL, DWH, Big Data Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Python, PySpark
• Able to help programmers and project managers in the design, planning, and governance of implementing projects of any kind

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10 plus years of hands-on experience in IT Software Development Industry
• A minimum of 2 plus experience in architecting and implementing large-scale data solutions
• Data Governance & Data Architecture skills
• Data Modeling & Modernization experience
• Experience in GCP Stack (Big Query, Dataflow, Dataproc, Composer, Cloud Fun, GCS Bucket, etc.)
• Extract Transform Load (ETL) & Data Warehousing (DW) expertise
• Hands-on over any one or more ETL Tools (Ab-Initio, Informatica, Data Stage, Teradata, Talend, Alteryx, etc.)
• Experience with cloud-based data warehousing and data management
• Technical Hands-on experience in design, coding, development and managing Cloud Data Pipeline & Data Warehouse applications
• Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design and development
• Implement and deploy high-performance, custom applications at scale on Hadoop
• Data Warehousing projects with either Java or Python based programming background
• Hands-on Experience in Cloud Native Programming
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficient with agile/scrum
• Added advantage to have experience in other clouds : Azure (Data Factory, Data Bricks, Synapse etc.) OR AWS (EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift etc.) OR Snowflake
• Added advantage to have experience in Hadoop or BigData
