6.41 Welding Inspector - CSWIP 3.2.2 (QATAR ENERGY)

6.41.1 Educational Qualification and Experience:

a) Engineering Degree / Diploma - Mechanical or Metallurgical engineering.

b) Shall have minimum twelve (12) years of experience in Oil & Gas industry.

c) Post CSWIP 3.2.2 certifications, the candidate shall have four (04) years of work experience and shall participated in minimum 05 or 06 Shutdowns / projects with proven experience in welding inspection of pressure vessels and piping.

d) Fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing.

e) Computer literate and very good in MS office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

f) The candidate must be physically fit to work in Oil & Gas environment, working at heights, confined spaces to carry out inspection job. He shall have confined space entry training and medical fitness certificate.

6.41.2 Certifications

Following certifications are mandatory:

a) CSWIP 3.2.2

b) NDT Level II in UT, PT, RT

c) Knowledgeable in ASME/AWS codes.

Following certifications are desirable:

a) API 510/ 570

b) RTFI

c) Pressure vessels code training.

d) Advanced NDT training in IRIS, PAUT & TOFD

6.41.3 Primary Task

a) To inspect piping and welding new fabrication and repair.

b) Maintain and approve Fabrications test packs, witness, and approve NDT & hydro tests, review RT and TOFD/PAUT results.

c) To update status.
