Business Analyst - Golden Source/Bloomberg (7-12 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in GoldenSource, Bloomberg, or other market data management platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in data management, financial systems integration, and process optimization within investment banking, asset management, or financial services. This role requires strong knowledge of reference data, security master, trade processing, and financial data workflows.

Key Responsibilities :

Business & Data Analysis :

- Gather and analyze business requirements related to GoldenSource, Bloomberg, and market/reference data management.

- Work with security master, pricing, corporate actions, and trade processing workflows.

- Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance with financial regulations (MiFID II, Basel III, Dodd-Frank, GDPR, etc.).

GoldenSource / Bloomberg Integration & Data Management :

- Implement and enhance GoldenSource EDM (Enterprise Data Management) solutions.

- Configure, validate, and optimize Bloomberg Data License, Bloomberg B-Pipe, or Bloomberg Terminal feeds.

- Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate market data into trading and risk systems.

- Perform data mapping, cleansing, validation, and enrichment to improve financial data accuracy.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation :

- Work closely with trading, risk, compliance, operations, and IT teams to align business needs with data solutions.

- Document functional specifications, data dictionaries, process flows, and business requirements.

- Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), QA, and system enhancements.

System Enhancements & Process Automation :

- Identify and implement workflow automation for data processing and reporting.

- Work with SQL, Python, or other scripting tools for data analysis and reporting.

- Support the transition to cloud-based data management (AWS, Azure, GCP) where applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, investment banking, or asset management.

- Expertise in GoldenSource, Bloomberg (B-PIPE, Data License, Terminal), or other market data platforms (Refinitiv, ICE, FactSet, Markit EDM, etc.).

- Strong understanding of reference data, security master, trade lifecycle, pricing data, and financial instruments (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, etc.).

- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting.

- Knowledge of data governance, regulatory compliance, and financial data workflows.

- Experience with API integrations, ETL tools, and financial data feeds.

Preferred Skills & Nice-to-Have :

- Experience with Cloud-Based Data Management (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Knowledge of Python, VBA, or scripting for automation

- Understanding of risk management & financial regulations (MiFID II, Basel III, Dodd-Frank, FATCA, etc.)

- Experience with Data Visualization Tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.)
