Business Intelligence Analyst - Banking Domain (7-12 yrs)

Data Model Updates :

- Ensure the logical data model and datamart dictionaries are frequently updated for changes.

Business Alignment :

- Consult with business and functions to align on KPI and metric definitions.

System Understanding :

- Understand source systems, data flow, and ETL processes involved.

Agile Methodologies :

- Handle sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with the BI Team, vendors, and Data Management teams as needed.

Reporting :

- Provide updates to Senior Management.

- Decision Level (Pertaining to Aforesaid Deliverables)

Prime: Final decision-making authority, accountable to Management.

Shared: Decisions reached jointly with cross-functional teams.

Contributory : Makes a major contribution to decisions or policy judgments reached by others.

Key Competencies :

Banking KPIs :

- Good understanding of banking KPIs and ability to capture M0/M1/M2 definitions from storyboards.

Data Modeling :

- Exposure to building and maintaining data models for banks/NBFCs, well-versed in dimension data modeling concepts.

UAT Support :

- Support and facilitate UAT sign-offs for data model changes.

Agile Methodologies :

- Exposure to Agile methodologies.

Tool Proficiency :

- Knowledge of tools like ODI, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, Talend, etc. (Power BI is mandatory).

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication, time management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are an added advantage.

Education Level

Must Have : Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / BCA / B.Com.

Preferable : Post-graduation - MCA / M.Sc Computers / M.Com.

Working Experience :

Industry Experience : 7+ years of experience within the financial services industry (Banking, NBFC preferred).

Data Architecture : Strong understanding of data architecture of Data Warehouse (EDW) and function-specific datamarts.

Documentation and Presentation : Good skills in documentation and presentation.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
