Role : Appian Developer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Appian Developer to design, develop, and implement business process management (BPM) solutions using the Appian Low-Code Platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Appian application development, process modeling, integrations, and automation, ensuring scalable and efficient business workflows.

Key Responsibilities :

Appian Development & Customization :

- Design and develop Appian applications, workflows, records, reports, and UI forms.

- Create Appian process models, business rules, and decision tables for workflow automation.

- Develop custom Appian plug-ins, smart services, and expressions using Java and JavaScript.

Integration & API Development :

- Integrate Appian with third-party systems (REST/SOAP APIs, databases, web services, RPA, AI/ML tools).

- Manage data synchronization, web services, and external data sources within Appian.

- Implement OAuth, SAML, and LDAP-based authentication for secure access.

Automation & Performance Optimization :

- Optimize Appian process models and database queries for efficiency and scalability.

- Utilize Appian RPA and AI features for process automation and intelligent decision-making.

- Conduct performance tuning, error handling, and debugging of Appian applications.

Agile Development & Collaboration :

- Work closely with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into Appian solutions.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum development cycles, ensuring timely delivery and best practices.

- Maintain technical documentation for Appian applications and integrations.

Security, Compliance & Maintenance :

- Implement Appian security best practices, access controls, and role-based permissions.

- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and version control for Appian applications.

- Ensure compliance with IT governance, data protection, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Appian application development.

- Strong knowledge of Appian components: Process Models, Records, SAIL UI, Smart Services, and Reports.

- Experience with Java, JavaScript, SQL, and Appian expression language.

- Proficiency in REST/SOAP API integrations and web services.

- Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.

- Knowledge of database management (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
