Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting legal research and analysis with a particular focus on compliance for employer-sponsored health and welfare benefits. This includes understanding and interpreting requirements for state continuation, state paid leave, and state insurance coverage mandates.

Role & responsibilities

• Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive legal research on state and federal laws related to employer-sponsored health and welfare benefits.
• Compliance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and analyze changes in legislation and regulations, especially regarding state continuation, state paid leave, and state insurance coverage mandates.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, summaries, and legal opinions on compliance requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the broader compliance consulting team to support the company's external and internal compliance consulting efforts.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in law or a related field.
• Fluency in English writing and speaking.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in legal research and analysis, preferably within the health and welfare benefits sector.
• Strong understanding of state and federal compliance requirements for employer-sponsored benefits.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
