The Charter:
- Build OTT play as a high growth subscription business which provides an awesome subscription experience; and plan the journey of other existing products into the subscription.
- Manage the P&L of the business, including budgets, reporting and resource plans, with focus on driving subscriber growth, revenue, profitability and managing costs
- Map out and prioritize what OTT subscription based products to work on based on a deep understanding of user needs and insights, industry trends and competitive environment.
- Lead Commercial discussion/negotiations with partners for viable business offerings
- Develop a strategy to building content sampling funnel to act as feed for subscriptions
- Study consumption behaviour to identify user segments with high propensity channel partners
- Build engagement programs for consumption and renewals
What You'll Do:
- Define the organizational vision that OTT Play subscription needs to be successful in scaling our subscription management
- Partner with our business, marketing, circulation, technical, and finance leaders to identify, scope, and deliver on new opportunities
- Drive Renewals and Engagement.
- Strong understanding of OTT ecosystem in India and outside
- In-depth understanding & hands-on experience in managing OTT partnership
- This role will build and manage a multi-year roadmap for OTT subscription business - both powering the viewer experience as well as growth
- Partner internally and externally to drive innovation and growth
What to Bring:
- Proven experience and success in driving and managing partnership and business development
- Clear track record of building and delivering on multi-year marketing strategy and roadmaps that resulted in recognized innovation in the industry
- Experience working in both highly agile environments as well as large product development efforts
- Ability to prioritize competing opportunities, balance market needs with business priorities
- Solid understanding of customer experience, business goals and competitive pressures and the ability to convert those into business requirements and priorities, and broadly communicate them to the organization
- Ability to make sound judgments based on tradeoffs of different solutions, complex problems, various partners, and constraints
- Superb analytical abilities: Ability to solve complex problems through analytics and data oriented approach to decision making
- Strong stakeholder management : Ability to balance and efficiently resolve contradictory demands and timelines in order to deliver against the company strategy and goals
Nice to Haves:
Someone with deep understanding and expertise in OTT industry and has experience with:
- Tools like Moengage/Clevertap, GA.
- Working with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Product, Design and Tech.
- 10+ Yr of growth/subscription experience.
KPI's:
- User & Revenue growth month on month as per AOP
- CAC management as per AOP
- User Engagement growth
- Retention & Renewal as per AOP
