Manager Legal - Contracts

The candidate should have strong knowledge and hands-on experience in drafting, vetting, and reviewing a wide range of commercial agreements, including but not limited to Vendor Trade Agreements, Import Agreements, Local Supplier Agreements, Branding Space Agreements, Transport Agreements, Service Provider Agreements, MOUs, NDAs, Letters of Engagement, Letters of Intent, and other agreements related to e-commerce, logistics, banking, IT, and other business operations.

The candidate should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills to independently discuss and finalize the agreement with third parties.

The candidate should possess a strong understanding of laws relevant to businesses in retail and e-commerce, including the Contract Act, Legal Metrology, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), IT Act, Data Privacy Laws, E-commerce and Consumer Protection Laws, Commercial Laws, Corporate Laws, Labor Laws, and licensing requirements.

Advising business teams on various legal issues pertaining to stores and e-com business pertaining to privacy and other policies, IT Act, SPDI, cyber notices, summons, etc. Drafting those notices and replies.

Knowledge of Compliance under BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency) provisions, WPC (DoT), Pollutions Laws, E-waste and other applicable corporate/business related laws.

Drafting various policies required for the business teams and e-com portal. Addressing and resolving issues of fake websites, products.

Ability to provide sound legal advice and solutions to different business situations, maintaining a fine and healthy balance between the business needs and legal framework.
