Summary:
- An experienced risk professional, who has worked in the Financial Services industry, who can support the overall implementation of the Risk Management framework, in accordance with regulatory expectations and ERM policies and guidelines. The ERM plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the institution.
- This position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework that enables proactive risk identification and strategic decision-making. The ERM will collaborate with various departments to ensure a holistic approach to risk management that supports the college's mission, goals, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Develops a robust ERM framework that integrates risk management into all organizational activities and decision-making processes, fostering a culture of proactive risk identification and mitigation.
- Identifies and assesses risks across diverse areas including business operations, finance, technology, compliance, strategy, and reputation, ensuring comprehensive risk coverage.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to design and implement effective risk mitigation strategies, establish controls, and execute action plans addressing identified risks.
- Continuously updates risk registers, ensures regular monitoring of key risks, and provides senior leadership with insights into emerging risks, trends, and the effectiveness of mitigation efforts.
- Provides independent review, challenge, and oversight of business functions, ensuring alignment with ERM policies and escalating significant risks to appropriate governance forums.
- Coordinates risk governance activities, including preparing committee materials, driving discussions, and ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory expectations.
- Apply operational risk programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, leveraging tools like targeted risk assessments, incident reviews, and process redesign to achieve improved outcomes.
- Establish advanced reporting mechanisms for compliance, standardizing data for actionable insights, oversee committee governance, preparing strategic reports, policy papers, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Conducts annual reviews of ERM policies, ensuring they remain relevant and aligned with regulatory changes, organizational goals, and critical risk areas.
- Coordinates responses to high-impact operational risk events, conducts investigations, and advises on effective remediation plans to strengthen process controls and reduce vulnerabilities.
- Produces detailed analysis and reporting on risk initiatives and ad hoc requests, ensuring actionable insights are presented to executive management and risk committees.
- Leads or supports ERM initiatives across global, regional, and local levels, building strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure consistent risk practices and governance.
Qualifications:
- An ideal candidate is from a Risk Management background (preferably from a financial service e.g., banks, NBFC, Fintech etc.,) or is a former financial services /industry employee that has led Risk
Assessments/ mitigations/ identifications of industry and emerging risks /quality assessments on risk scoring /quality check on risk mitigations across operations across operations, finance, regulatory and technology
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business management, finance or law Certifications in ERM, PRM, CRM or ORM are desired but not mandatory
- Eight (8) to twelve (12) years of related experience in compliance, audit, or enterprise risk management is preferred
- Have a good appreciation of the regulations applicable in India and Asia Pacific
- Highly detail-oriented, motivated, curious individual with good time-management skills, analytical and communication skills , Quick and sharp individual who relishes the challenges of understanding and interpreting regulations and processes across different businesses and jurisdictions
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. The candidate should have the ability to establish credibility and strong partnerships with senior business leaders, control functions and corporate partners globally and manage escalations suitably
- Familiarity with GRC Tools such as RSA Archer, Service Now. Etc. will be a plus
