Director - Underwriting - Insurance Business (9-18 yrs)

Looking for a dynamic underwriter. As a leader in our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting processes and strategies, driving operational excellence, and ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines.

Responsibilities:

- Developing and implementing underwriting strategies to drive profitability and growth

- Leading and managing a team of underwriters, providing mentorship and guidance

- Monitoring underwriting performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement

- Collaborating with other departments to ensure alignment of underwriting processes with overall business objectives

- Staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices

Requirements:

- 8+ years of experience in underwriting, with a strong understanding of insurance products and risk assessment

- Proven leadership and people management skills

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field; additional certifications in underwriting or insurance will be a plus
