Assistant General Manager - Procurement - Power (7-18 yrs)

Seeking a seasoned professional from the power sector with at least 7 to 12 years of relevant experience managing procurement and contracts in the wind energy sector. The role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in power sector, with expertise in strategic sourcing, contract drafting and supplier management.

Responsibilities:

1) Developing and implementing procurement strategies for WTG and related services.

2) Conducting supplier evaluations and negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms.

3) Monitoring market trends to optimize costs and enhance processes.

4) Leading contract negotiations, contract drafting and ensuring compliance with regulations.

5) Managing supplier relationships to improve collaboration and performance.

6) Implementing risk management strategies for contract execution.

7) Driving cost-saving initiatives and ensuring procurement targets are met.

8) Preparing and presenting procurement reports to senior management.

Requirements:

1) Bachelor's/Master's with 7 to 12 years of relevant procurement, contract drafting and supplier negotiation experience in power sector preferably from renewable energy space.

2) Strong expertise in procurement, contract law, and vendor management.

3) Proficiency in SAP (MM) module and MS Office.

4) Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.

5) Experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in wind.

6) Leadership skills with the ability to manage vendors and contractors.

7) High level of integrity and professionalism.
