General Manager - Procurement - Manufacturing/Auto OEM/Engineering Sector (15-25 yrs)

The Role

We are seeking a senior professional to Head the Purchase/Procurement of Capital goods. This person will be responsible for Strategic Sourcing, Strategic Purchase, Supply Chain, Vendor development and manging contractors. Drive purchase function based on the following areas.

- Strategic sourcing

- E-auction - Value engineering - Long-term contracts.

- Best processes and systems

Scope of work -

The incumbent will be responsible for Vendor development, managing machinery suppliers, implementing best systems and processes to bring in Speed, Control and flexibility. Budget for annual maintenance of machinery, civil work and repairs will be in the range of 200cr's to 300 cr's that covers:

- Spare parts

- Packing material & accessories

- Steel frames

- Coal, fuel, lubricants, etc.

Required Experience:

- B.E/B.Tech with 20 plus years of relevant experience.

- Must have been in a leadership role in Procurement / Purchase in a Manufacturing / Auto OEM's / Engineering companies.
