We're on the lookout for a passionate Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing team and shape the future of work for MSMEs in India. You'll play a vital role in building the core systems that power our industry-leading attendance and payroll app, currently serving over 1 million users and 200k businesses.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to :

- Architect and develop critical backend systems from the ground up, influencing the core infrastructure of our platform.

- Deploy and maintain our application on AWS, ensuring smooth operation and scalability.

- Provide valuable technical guidance to the team, contributing to strategic decision-making.

- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimizing system efficiency.

- Foster a collaborative learning environment by mentoring junior developers and contributing to team growth.

- We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the following :

Technical Skills & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, with a proven track record of success.

- In-depth expertise in Python and Django framework development.

- Solid understanding of relational databases (i.e., PostgreSQL) and caching solutions (i.e., Redis).

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS) is a must.

- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices is a plus.

- Prior experience architecting and developing scalable microservice architectures.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement efficient solutions.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

- Hands-on mentality with a proactive approach to tackle challenges and drive solutions to completion.

Bonus Points :

- Experience with API design and documentation.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (i.e., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

- Familiarity with asynchronous programming concepts.

- Passion for building innovative solutions and contributing to a growth-oriented environment.
