Facade Manager

The Façade Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of façade work on commercial projects, including the preparation, coordination, and execution of façade designs and installations. The role involves managing vendors, ensuring quality control, and ensuring that the façade systems meet project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review shop drawings, cut lists, and erection drawings for façade elements.
2. Work in line with approved drawings and specifications, ensuring proper system deployment.
3. Coordinate with façade vendors, consultants, and the project team to ensure smooth execution.
4. Oversee façade works, including glazing, aluminum curtain walls, unitized systems, skylights, cladding systems, GRC, and ACP.
5. Manage the submission and approval of samples, and maintain quality records for incoming materials.
6. Conduct regular inspection visits to façade vendors factories, ensuring quality checks as per specifications.
7. Follow up on material deliveries with vendors and check delivered materials on-site.
8. Monitor and ensure project progress aligns with the agreed schedule, conducting regular vendor meetings.
9. Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules in coordination with the master construction program.
10. Ensure the execution of works on-site adheres to safety standards, quality checks, and work methodology.
11. Coordinate with the Civil team for necessary clearances and approvals.
12. Calculate quantities based on approved drawings and manage vendor billing.
13. Provide technical guidance to contractors on-site, resolving issues and ensuring correct execution.
14. Evaluate and select appropriate façade materials (glass, cladding, aluminum) based on project requirements.
15. Act as the primary point of contact for façade-related issues and queries.
16. Ensure high-quality fabrication and installation of façade systems.
17. Verify and certify vendor bills for completed work.
18. Maintain and organize site documentation accurately.
19. Gain practical exposure to various curtain glazing technologies, including unitized and curtain wall systems, aluminum composite panels, spider glazing, and sliding systems.
20. Work with façade systems such as Schuco, Teknal, and Domal.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute/university.
• 10+ years of experience in managing façade works on commercial projects.

Skills Required:

• Expertise in façade systems, including glazing, unitized curtain walls, skylights, and cladding systems.
• Strong knowledge of façade technologies and materials (aluminum, glass, ACP, etc.).
• Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Ability to conduct quality control inspections and resolve site issues.
• Familiarity with façade systems.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
