Purpose

This position will help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products.

In Cotiviti, you will solve some of the most pressing Healthcare issues with access to an expansive library of data including claims, membership and demographics. You will work on building value-oriented, production level machine learning solutions in Healthcare Technology. This position will require applying your knowledge and experience to real world problems and seek to utilize Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to reduce healthcare costs and improve health quality and outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

1. Engage with customers to identify opportunities to integrate data/insights into decision-making

2. Understand and translate business requirements from internal and external stakeholders into data product and features

3. Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis

4. Conduct exploratory data analysis to verify the initial hypothesis associated with potential AI/ML use cases

5. Prepare your final trained model and develop a validation test set for QA

6. Work with production operations to deploy your model and monitoring model performance

7. Apply statistical methodology to solve business problems; appropriately interprets meaning from results

8. Contribute to data product discovery by developing business case analytics, user stories, conducting exploratory analyses, and prototyping ideas / analytics

9. Prepare project documentation, and conduct end user training

10. Conduct on-demand analyses to support key internal and client-facing deliverables

11. Cultivate and share best practices in structured problem solving and quantitative/qualitative analysis

12. Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan

Relevant Experience & Educational Requirements

1. Bachelors or Master’s degree in data/analytics, computer science, engineering, economics, mathematics or statistics

2. 2+ years’ experience building and deploying Machine learning models

3. 2+ years’ experience in working in Big Data environments

4. Experience in using machine learning tools to develop production strength models including, but not limited to, Python, TensorFlow, Keras, pandas, numpy, scikit-learn

5. Experience in healthcare analytics, consulting, technology/services, product development, or other relevant role will be an advantage

6. Deep understanding of supervised and unsupervised algorithms

7. Experience extracting and transforming source data using SQL, spark, scala, hive, impala

8. Ability to package insights in highly consumable and flexible formats for a variety of audiences

9. Ability to work well independently and with cross-functional, matrixed teams in an agile environment

10. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
