The Role

Our Banking and Financial Services (BFS) Consulting practice is looking for Consultant / Senior Consultant to join our Consumer Lending group.

We re looking for a Consultant / Senior Consultant who can deliver within Cognizant s Five Pillars of Consulting 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a senior consultant, this means creating high-quality client deliverables and taking ownership (with supervision) of producing client content and meeting client expectations; developing an expertise in your functional area, including obtaining certifications; contributing to Client Satisfaction and/or RFPs; supporting leadership and contributing to content development for service offerings; and participating in People Care initiatives and exhibiting personal leadership at all times.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements

Define the vision for the team s product

Create a product roadmap based on this vision

Manage the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements

Oversee all stages of product creation including design and development

Develop user stories

Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process

Liaise with the product team and end-users to deliver updates

Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints

Perform data analysis and create source-to-target mapping documents

Lead functional testing efforts and coordinate/support User Testing for project release

Drive user training, release communications and product rollout efforts in collaboration with business and technology teams

Work with the program manager to create project health status updates

Qualification

B. E/B. Tech or Master s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience

Experience in banking or financial industry

8 -12 years of product management experience

5- 6 years of mortgage originations or servicing industry experience in Business Analyst and/or Product Owner roles

Hands-on experience in POS, LOS, AUS and other key mortgage integrations is preferred

Experience working in an Agile environment and lean methodology

Experience in data mapping and vendor integrations is preferred

Strong technical background and the ability to dive into the technical details

Demonstrated experience problem solving and developing products from scratch

Experience with bringing together cross functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model

Ability to handle ambiguity and white space.

Demonstrated examples of building and launching products
