Role & responsibilities
The Inside Sales Head is responsible for leading the inside sales team to generate leads, close sales, and drive overall revenue. This role involves strategic planning, team management, process optimization, and collaboration with other departments to ensure consistent sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement effective inside sales strategies to meet and exceed company sales targets. Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with marketing to generate leads and sales opportunities.
Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor the inside sales team to improve performance. Set clear performance goals and metrics for the team. Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance the skills of the sales team. Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention of inside sales staff.
Sales Operations: Monitor sales processes and workflows, ensuring efficiency and optimization. Oversee CRM usage and data management to track progress and sales activities. Implement best practices for inbound and outbound sales efforts.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor individual and team performance against KPIs and sales goals. Prepare and present reports to senior management on sales activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts. Develop action plans to address any performance issues.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and effective communication. Address any customer concerns and oversee the resolution of issues.
Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure alignment in sales efforts. Collaborate with external partners or vendors to explore new sales opportunities.
Education: Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Strong understanding of sales processes, CRM software, and sales performance metrics.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
