About the job:
Seeking a Dynamic Logistics Manager for a D2C Brand out of Mumbai.
Job Responsibilities:
Logistics Coordination:
- Manage and optimize the company's logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Oversee the planning and execution of logistics strategies to meet customer demands and operational goals.
Reverse Pickups:
- Develop and implement processes for reverse logistics, including managing returns, exchanges, and product recalls.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to facilitate smooth and efficient reverse pickup operations.
- Manage relationships with third-party providers for reverse logistics services to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
- Analyze return data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.
- Implement inventory control processes to reduce discrepancies and ensure accurate stock records.
- Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and adjust logistics strategies accordingly.
- Transportation Management:
- Oversee the selection and management of transportation providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective delivery services.
- Monitor transportation performance and resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or service quality.
- Optimize transportation routes and schedules to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Team Management:
- To Lead a team of logistics staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage team collaboration and development.
- Establish clear goals and objectives for team members and monitor progress.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including customs, safety, and environmental laws.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, reverse pickups, and transportation agreements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's / master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or related field experience in Start-up or Food Industry.
- 3-6 years of experience in supply chain and logistics management preferably in a D2C setup.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and supply chain management software
