Support on the free trade agreement management and execution including the country-of-origin determination (COO), Bill of material (BOM) analysis, Supplier solicitation, and other critical import trade compliance functions. Maintain organized records to support country of origin and trade preference qualification determination. Work on FTA Management/origin management software s and application. Work with internal/external stakeholders to obtain the information required to ensure accurate country of origin, classification, and preference are assigned to components. Manage blocked records in SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) or other applications. Provide support by performing Restricted Parties List screening of sales orders and delivery documents. Research and determine the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification and /or ECCN classification for finished goods, equipment, raw materials, parts, non-production items etc. Understands governmental regulations to maintain compliance and retain trade privileges. Understand and evaluation of the Global Trade compliance information from regulatory point of view by doing research and analysing information from various ministries, departments and other government /official source in order to comply with international trade regulations. Interact with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure complete, accurate and compliant information is declared to Customs authority and other government agencies to minimize delays and expedite release. Experience with overseeing import operations, including customs brokers in the EU Develop, implement, and maintain corporate policies and procedures as they relate to trade preference strategies and initiatives. Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Requirements
Minimum 2 5 years experience A background in International Trade Master in Business Administration (MBA) would be an asset Customs broker license and knowledge in customs clearance process or experience would be an advantage. Working knowledge in SAP GTS Fluency in English is must. Other languages would be an asset. Technical degree or equivalent experience would be an asset. Experience with MS Office Applications, including proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Ability to read/analyse regulations and procedures. Ability to write, speak, and present effectively and persuasively. Working in a virtual global team. Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, without direct supervision. Honesty, confidentiality, Strong initiative and positive attitude.
