Capegemini - Automation Testing Engineer - API Testing/RestAssured (6-9 yrs)

API Testing :

- Develop and execute comprehensive test cases and plans for both RESTful and SOAP APIs.

- Validate API responses, request structures, and headers to ensure adherence to specifications.

- Proficient in API testing tools such as Katalon Studio and Postman.

- Experienced with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Java).

- Knowledge of the telecom domain.

- Track and document testing progress in JIRA, including test plans, user stories, test sets, test executions, and reported bugs.

- Collaborate with developers and team members to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve issues efficiently

Defect Management :

- Identify, document, and track defects discovered during testing.

- Log defects in JIRA and monitor their resolution throughout the development cycle.

Documentation and Reporting :

- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.

- Provide regular updates and reports on testing progress, issues, and resolutions.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand API requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.

- Review the Test Design documents and get understand on business requirement

- Participate in reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies as needed.
