Job Description

Position Title: Manager-Business Development (Age 35-45)


Role Overview: The Manager of Business Development at the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) will play a pivotal role in expanding and optimizing our Internet Exchange (IX) and Indian Registry for Internet Names and Numbers (IRINN) services. This individual will be responsible for driving growth by attracting new Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), and networks to our IX, as well as identifying and engaging new networks that could benefit from their own IP addresses through IRINN.


Key Responsibilities

Internet Exchange (IX) Business Development

  1. New Client Acquisition: Identify, target, and onboard new ISPs, CDNs, and networks to join NIXI's Internet Exchange.
  2. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships.
  3. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to attract and retain clients.
  4. Promotion and Outreach: Represent NIXI at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the benefits of our Internet Exchange services.

IRINN (Indian Registry for Internet Names and Numbers) Business Development

  1. Prospecting: Identify new networks that would benefit from obtaining their own IP addresses and engage them in the process.
  2. Client Education: Educate potential clients about the benefits and process of acquiring IP addresses through IRINN.
  3. Sales Conversion: Develop and execute strategies to convert prospects into clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process.
  4. Customer Support: Provide ongoing support to clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any issues related to IP address management.
  5. Market Expansion: Explore and develop new markets for IRINN services, expanding the reach and impact of NIXI.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Background: MBA fulltime with technical and IT industry experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the telecommunications or internet infrastructure industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Internet Exchange services, IP address management, and the internet ecosystem.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Analytical Ability: Proficiency in market analysis and the ability to develop data-driven strategies.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Work closely with technical and operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

Contractual Role with NIXI.

Salary - 15 to 17 LPA


Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contractual
