Debt Structuring and Syndication: Design loans that suit the borrower's needs, prepare loan agreements and terms, collaborate with other lenders to share the loan.
Due Diligence: Perform due diligence on potential borrowers and properties, including site visits, legal document reviews, and title searches.
Credit Risk Assessment: Use financial ratios, market trends, and industry benchmarks to evaluate the likelihood of a borrower's ability to repay a loan, considering factors such as debt-to-income ratio, property value, and cash flow.
Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify and assess credit risks, implementing strategies to minimize exposure and ensure sound credit decisions.
Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain financial models to assess borrowers' creditworthiness, perform risk analysis, evaluate credit metrics, and provide insights for credit decision-making and portfolio management.
Market Research: Stay updated on local real estate market trends, property values, and economic conditions to inform credit decisions.
Portfolio Monitoring: Regularly monitor existing loan portfolios to identify potential credit risks and take necessary actions to mitigate them.
Prepare and Review Credit Memos: Draft detailed credit memos that summarize financial analysis, creditworthiness assessments, and recommendations for loan approval or denial, ensuring clear documentation of credit decisions.
Ensure Accuracy in Credit Notes: Issue credit notes or adjustments as required, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with contractual terms and conditions.
Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate credit analysis findings to internal stakeholders, including loan officers, senior management, and legal teams.
