Senior Civil Engineer

#### **Key Responsibilities**

- **Construction Supervision:**

- Oversee and manage on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

- Conduct regular inspections of construction works, including verifying contractor adherence to approved designs and technical specifications.

- Monitor construction progress using modern project management tools and techniques.

- Prepare detailed site supervision reports, including photo documentation and progress updates.

- **Cost Estimation and Material Take-Offs:**

- Perform detailed quantity take-offs for construction materials based on design drawings and specifications.

- Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment using industry-standard methods such as unit rate estimation or detailed estimation.

- Ensure material procurement aligns with project schedules and budgets.

- **Project Planning and Scheduling:**

- Develop comprehensive project schedules, including milestones and critical path activities, using tools like Gantt charts or Primavera.

- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution of project phases.

- Identify potential risks in the schedule and propose mitigation strategies.

- **Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC):**

- Implement quality control procedures to ensure all construction works meet specified standards.

- Review and approve contractor submissions such as shop drawings, material samples, and method statements.

- **Stakeholder Coordination:**

- Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.

- Address grievances or issues raised by stakeholders promptly and professionally.

#### **Skills & Competencies**

- Strong knowledge of construction supervision methodologies and modern contract management practices.

- Expertise in cost estimation techniques such as detailed estimation, unit rate estimation, and quantity take-offs.

- Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project).

- Familiarity with quality assurance frameworks for civil engineering projects.

- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination.

Required Qualifications

B.E. or B.Tech (Civil) Mandatory. Diploma in Civil is not suitable for this role

10+ years of experience in relevant field

#### **Preferred Qualifications**

- Experience in infrastructure projects such as industrial facilities, roads, or large-scale buildings.

- Familiarity with local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards in Gujarat.

- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or construction management is a plus.
