Project Planning Coordinator / PMC Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Preparing project schedule (Master Schedule L5 level) in MS Project/Primavera with firm timelines and milestones consisting of all pre-project activities, legal and statutory clearances, engineering, procurement, execution, pre-commissioning activities and commissioning activities.
• Updating activity-wise project progress and preparing daily progress report.
• Evaluate adequacy and productivity of Contractors manpower and other resources at site on periodic basis.
• Track minutes of meeting for regular project review meetings with vendors.
• Preparing and updating critical issue tracker
• Following up with external stakeholders ie. consultants for release of drawings and with vendors for equipment delivery.
• Submit weekly and fortnightly project progress reports with Dashboard, highlighting progress and focus points in areas of engineering, site progress, equipment deliveries and contractor resources and prepare look- ahead schedule. The reports shall capture all facts of project management in quantitative and qualitative way.
• Conduct full kitting exercise at individual critical structures (max. 3) along with 3 months rolling schedule.
• Alert Site/HO team about possible slippages and suggest action plan for mitigation
• Participate in monthly project review meetings and track minutes of meeting. Present Monthly Project Report (MPR) in the review meeting, highlighting progress (planned v/s actual), schedule (baseline v/s actual), variance, status of equipment deliveries, key issues and status of action points discussed in past meetings
• Plan for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities along with group trial status.
• Assist in PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Review), RTO (Readiness to operate) and recycling of project learnings.

Preferred candidate profile

Cement/Steel plant Projects, Site project planning & monitoring, Capex planning experience desirable (MSP or Primavera hands-on experience is must).
