Planning Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Scheduling: Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 to ensure timely delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Resource Allocation: Conduct resource allocation and leveling to ensure optimal use of labor, materials, and equipment for smooth project delivery.
• Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress closely, identify potential delays, and work proactively to develop mitigation plans to keep the project on track.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency with overall project objectives.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze project data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve project performance and address challenges promptly.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Develop and maintain regular project reports, dashboards, and other visual aids to communicate project status to senior management and stakeholders.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and quality protocols throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction planning, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Software Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6, with a demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex project schedules.
• Microsoft Office Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for project reporting and analysis.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Time Management: Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project needs.
• Collaboration: Strong team player, able to collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Nice to Have:

• Advanced Education: Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Certification: Certification in Primavera P6 (e.g., Oracle Primavera P6 Certified Implementation Specialist) is a plus.
• Additional Tools: Experience with other project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, or Trello is beneficial.
• Construction Software: Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, PlanGrid, or Autodesk is an added advantage.
