Roles and Responsibilities - Manager Planning

The Planning Manager is responsible for the planning, scheduling, development of sub programs/ tracking programs for construction operations.

The key responsibilities include ensure timely completion of project within approved budgets on cost, resources without compromising on Quality & Safety using internal staff, as well as subcontractors and sub consultants. Delivery of high-quality, turn-key energy efficiency and renewable energy projects both in office and onsite.

Responsibilities

Our aim is to protect and maximize our clients interests throughout the planning and delivery of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget. We pride ourselves on collaborating with client teams and developing long-term relationships.

• Scope planning specifying the in-scope requirements for the project to facilitate creating the work breakdown structure.
• Working closely with the Planning Manager and Project Team to ensure that the contract programme is feasible, complies with the Project Master Plan and contractual documents
• Implementation of project plan & ensures logical sequencing of plan based on resources.
• Preparation of project plan & project budget.
• Preparation of work breakdown structure, i.e. into tasks and sub-tasks.
• Project schedule development, i.e. listing the entire schedule of activities and detailing their sequence of implementation.
• Turn-around planning and scheduling and implementation / monitoring.
• To prepare method statement & submits to clients/consultants for approval
• Review overall project status with the Project Management team and recommend corrective action where necessary.
• To prepare time cycle charts of major activities of work.
• Baseline management, resource loading and analysis, progress update and cash flow integration based on earned value methods.
• Resource planning to indicate the levels of resources based on productivity rates of subcontractors.
• Procurement planning listing of vendors and subcontractors.
• Risk management planning -planning for possible risks and listing of contingency plans and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure that all cost, planning and document control reports are prepared and issued in accordance with Project Coordination Procedures.
• Monitors construction schedule & highlights anticipated delays/deviancies in advance.
• Plans resources, arrangement & allocation of resources as per the project plan.
• To analyze the gaps between the planned V/s actual and highlight the areas needing attention for the action of the project team.
• Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University
• Experience: Minimum of 5 -10 years of relevant work experience in building works

Computer Skills

• Must be competent in operating Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office softwares
• Good command of both written and spoken English language.
• Technical expertise and knowledge in Structural and Civil works
• Ability to build and maintain a positive relationship and with various stakeholders.
