Job Description

Job Title: Group Senior HR Manager
Location: Ankleshwar / Bangalore (Preference for Ankleshwar, but open to candidates from Bangalore with travel flexibility)
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Management (CEO/Director)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Group Senior HR Manager with at least 15-18 years of comprehensive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading HR teams, managing payroll, employee engagement, compliance with labour laws, training & development, and liaising with external stakeholders. This is a leadership role, where the candidate will be responsible for overseeing the HR functions across multiple locations, managing a team, and reporting directly to senior management. The position requires significant experience in handling HR operations for a large workforce (250+ employees).

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Leadership & Strategy:
    • Lead and manage a team of HR professionals, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a culture of collaboration.
    • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs to meet the needs of the organization, particularly in a manufacturing setup.
    • Provide strategic advice and counsel to senior management on key HR issues, workforce planning, and organizational development.
  • Payroll & Benefits Management:
    • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance with statutory requirements, and timely disbursement of salaries.
    • Manage benefits programs, including insurance, retirement, and other employee welfare schemes.
    • Ensure adherence to local and national tax laws, social security contributions, and other payroll-related regulations.
  • Labour Laws & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and regulations, including those related to industrial relations, workers' rights, and health & safety standards.
    • Liaise with external regulatory bodies, including government agencies, labour inspectors, and trade unions.
    • Keep abreast of changes in labour laws and ensure the organizations HR policies are updated accordingly.
    • Manage legal disputes, grievances, and labour relations issues effectively and in line with company policies.
  • Employee Engagement & Welfare:
    • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to drive a positive and productive work culture.
    • Lead efforts to boost employee moral, job satisfaction, and retention, focusing on both blue-collar and white-collar employees in the manufacturing environment.
    • Conduct surveys, focus groups, and other activities to gauge employee satisfaction and take appropriate actions based on feedback.
    • Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives across the organization.
  • Learning & Development:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of training programs aimed at enhancing employee skills, leadership development, and succession planning.
    • Identify key training needs across departments and ensure the alignment of training initiatives with business goals.
    • Drive performance management processes, including annual appraisals and career development discussions, in collaboration with department heads.
  • HR Operations & Team Management:
    • Manage HR operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and alignment with company goals.
    • Lead and mentor HR team members, providing guidance on daily operations and fostering a high-performance work culture.
    • Oversee recruitment and talent acquisition efforts, ensuring the hiring process aligns with the company’s objectives and culture.
    • Ensure smooth onboarding, employee integration, and offboarding processes.
  • Stakeholder Liaison & Reporting:
    • Act as the primary HR point of contact for senior management, providing regular updates on key HR metrics and strategic initiatives.
    • Prepare and present reports on HR performance, including employee turnover, retention, training outcomes, and compliance metrics.
    • Collaborate with other functional heads to ensure alignment on key business initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields. A Master's degree or MBA in HR is a plus.
    • HR certifications (such as SHRM Society of Human Resource Management, CIPD Chartered Institute of Personnel & development, etc.) would be an added advantage.
  • Experience:
    • 15-18 years of extensive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or large-scale operations (250+ employees).
    • Proven experience in managing all aspects of HR operations, including payroll, compliance, employee engagement, training, and labour relations.
    • At least 5-7 years of experience in a leadership or team-leading role, reporting directly to senior management.
    • In-depth knowledge of labour laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements within India.
    • Hands-on experience in managing large HR teams and multi-location operations.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of HRMS, payroll software, and ERP systems.
    • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing business needs.
    • Willingness to travel (7-10 working days per month) to other locations as required.

CTC:

  • ₹12-14 Lacs per annum, open for discussion based on experience and qualifications.
