Trade/Retail/Offline Marketing Head
Role Overview:
The Trade/Retail/Offline Marketing Head will drive the marketing and brand presence across offline channels, including General Trade (GT), Large Format Retail (LFR), and Modern Trade (MT). This individual will develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, consumer engagement, and sales performance while ensuring consistent brand messaging across retail touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement a robust trade and offline marketing strategy aligned with overall business goals.
- Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing initiatives with regional and channel-specific sales targets.
- Identify growth opportunities in LFR, MT, and GT channels through data-driven insights.
Retail Marketing Initiatives:
- Plan and execute retail marketing campaigns, including in-store branding, POS materials, and visual merchandising.
- Enhance shopper experience by conceptualizing and implementing innovative consumer engagement activities.
- Monitor ROI on offline marketing investments and recommend optimizations.
- Channel Management.
- Manage relationships with LFR, MT, and GT partners to ensure seamless implementation of marketing initiatives.
- Oversee marketing activations for product launches, festive campaigns, and promotional events at key retail outlets.
- Customize marketing approaches for LFR and MT to cater to specific consumer and partner expectations.
Budgeting and Analytics:
- Manage the trade marketing budget and ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Track and analyze the performance of marketing activities, providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Benchmark against competitors to stay ahead of market trends.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of trade and retail marketing executives.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration between marketing, sales, and operations teams.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in trade/retail marketing with a proven track record in LFR, MT, and GT channels.
- Education: MBA in Marketing or related field preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of offline marketing tools, channel dynamics, and consumer behavior.
- Proficiency in analyzing data for actionable insights.
- Expertise in budgeting, planning, and ROI analysis.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
- Creative problem-solving and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
