Head - eCommerce - Retail (12-20 yrs)

Description of responsibilities:

A. Business strategy & customer experience

- Single threaded leader for E-commerce channels

- Responsible for end-to-end business strategy, operational and financial performance

- Owns and identifies business growth plan

- Leverages product and technical teams to deliver business objectives

B. Business plan execution

- Sets and measures goals and targets across categories and functions

- Drives improvements to business processes and ensures quality

C. Financial accountability

- Accountable for financial performance of the business

D. Customer acquisition & retention

- Responsible for customer acquisition and retention for the channels

- Innovates on behalf of customers

E. Operations

- Owns day-to-day business operations to meet revenue and profitability objectives through conversion and discovery levers etc.

- Drives and measures and improves quality in internal processes

F. Organizational and people leadership

- Has direct reporting responsibility for multiple teams. Provides credible leadership to across functions

- Effectively manages leaders and organizations

- Influences across the company on behalf of the business

Required Qualifications:

- 12+ years work experience

- Bachelors minimum; MBA or further engineering or analytical education will be advantageous

- Proven general manager with a successful, resourceful and hands-on track record of running a complex business end-to-end combined with strong P&L experience

- Deep analytical capabilities, potentially (although not necessarily) gained from a background in e-commerce or Consulting

- Technology affinity and track record of employing systems to drive simplification and change for scale

- Demonstrable ability to build lasting relationships within and outside the organization

- Able to balance strategy with strong operational skills - able to understand, deconstruct, streamline and optimize business processes

- Commercially astute, with strong focus and accountability

- Excellent business judgment, with a track record of generating ideas and solving problems independently

- Excellent track record in hiring and developing high performance teams
