Functional Responsibilities
- Develop and implement visual marketing strategies that align with the brand's goals and standards.
- Responsible for overseeing and directing all visual merchandising efforts at Malabar Gold & Diamonds.
- Accountable for conceptualizing, planning, and executing visual merchandising activities for the brand's retail stores throughout India.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of visual merchandising ideas in order to successfully translate marketing information at the store level.
- Translate collection launch briefs into tangible outcomes at retail locations, using installations, visual merchandising windows, point of purchase assets, and various design elements.
- Extensive knowledge of visual merchandising materials, including their cost, procurement timelines, and related aspects.
- Build and maintain a strong network with visual merchandise vendors for the execution timelines while maintaining high quality standards in order to align them with cost-effective solutions.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage and lead execution teams operating from different regions, ensuring cohesive operations.
- Extensive interaction with various teams, such as marketing, merchandising, retail and purchase for the successful coordination of VM activities.
- Responsible for ensuring 100% commercial compliance in all visual merchandising activities.
- Responsible for managing the roll-out of visual merchandise fixtures in new stores in alignment with the project team is a significant part of your role.
- Adherence to tight timelines for meeting the demands of the dynamic retail industry.
- Provide design inputs to the execution team when required to enhance the visual merchandising appeal and effectiveness.
- Manage Visual Merchandising and other agencies, as and when necessary, to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure that visual merchandising efforts are in sync with the overall marketing strategy.
- Regularly analyse and assess the impact of visual merchandising initiatives on customer engagement and sales.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor visual merchandising practices to continuously improve the brand's visual merchandising approach.
- Lead the development of visual merchandising guidelines and standards for store staff to follow consistently.
- Conduct periodic store visits to inspect and enhance visual merchandising implementations, providing feedback and guidance.
- Maintain a database of visual merchandising materials, suppliers, and costs to optimise the procurement process.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Develop and manage a budget for visual merchandising activities and monitor expenditures within the given budget.
- Monitor the performance of visual merchandising installations, making adjustments as needed to maximize impact.
- Develop and deliver training programs for RVMs on visual merchandising best practices and standards.
- Oversee the design and installation of visual merchandising windows to attract and engage customers.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of visual merchandising efforts.
- Lead and motivate the execution team to maintain high standards and consistency across all stores.
- Report to Chief Marketing Officer on the success of visual merchandising initiatives, providing recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
