Payroll Specialist

• Process payroll for manufacturing employees, ensuring all wages, salaries, and deductions are accurately calculated and paid on time.
• Manage payroll data, including timekeeping records, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, and commissions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, including filing payroll taxes and timely payment.
• Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions, and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and process payroll reports, including summary reports, tax filings, and year-end reports.
• Review and ensure compliance with labor laws, collective bargaining agreements (if applicable), and company policies.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and handle employee inquiries related to payroll issues, deductions, and adjustments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end payroll reporting and audits, including preparation of financial reports.
• Collaborate with the HR department to update payroll records and employee information, including new hires, terminations, and leave of absences.
• Implement and manage payroll system updates and improvements, including integrating new technologies and software.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors / Master degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• 5 to 10 years of experience in payroll administration, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax compliance, and labor laws (federal, state, and local).
• Proficiency with payroll software and systems.
• Experience managing high-volume payroll processing for a large workforce.
• Strong understanding of compensation and benefits administration.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
