Who You Are:

This position will be WFO/Hybrid, but you will be working closely with the United States and Canada teams through video chat, instant messaging, e-mail, phone, and our software. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral. We are a fast-paced company expanding rapidly, and we are seeking team members who will share our vision for the future and work collaboratively to accomplish Base8's goals. Job Summary:

The Director of Finance will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the company. Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax planning, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to support the organization's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguard company assets.

2. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, to the executive management team and board of directors.

3. Monitor and analyze financial performance, highlighting trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to support business decisions.

4. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial targets.

5. Manage the company's cash flow, including monitoring receivables and payables, optimizing working capital, and implementing effective cash management strategies.

6. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits and adherence to accounting standards.

7. Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, working closely with external tax advisors to minimize the company's tax liability while ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

8. Provide financial guidance and support to various departments, assisting in financial decision-making and resource allocation.

9. Assess and mitigate financial risks, ensuring proper insurance coverage and evaluating potential investments or acquisitions.

10. Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices, proactively recommending and implementing improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting.

11. Work with our team to understand our business requirements and provide recommendations for Microsoft Business Central implementation.

12. Configure Microsoft Business Central to meet our needs, including setting up users, roles, and permissions, and creating custom reports and dashboards.

13. Provide training and support to our team on how to use Microsoft Business Central.

14. Lead the migration from QuickBooks Online to Microsoft Business Central, including data conversion, setup, and testing.

15. Collaborate with our team to ensure successful project delivery and user adoption.

16. Keep up-to-date with new features and functionalities of Microsoft Business Central and provide recommendations for optimizing our use of the system

Qualifications:

1. CA Or masters in finance, accounting, or a related field.

2. 18-20 years of experience in Finance

3. Proven experience in a similar financial management role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

4. In-depth knowledge of US accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.

5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.

7. Proficiency in financial management software and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

9. Strong leadership abilities with a track record of building and developing high-performing finance teams.

10. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

11. Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
