Data Management & Governance (Data Architect)

As a Data Architect you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security to empower our teams with accurate and timely information.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to lead the design, development, and management of our organization's data architecture in Data Management & Governance space. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data management principles, data modelling, database design, and data integration techniques. As the Data Architect, you will collaborate with crossfunctional teams in Process, Business, IT and governance to analyze business requirements, design data solutions, and develop data strategies that align with our overall business objectives. Responsibilities: Data Usage, Integration and ETL: • Design and implement efficient data ownership, integration processes to facilitate the seamless flow of data between different platforms, systems and applications. • Model data requirements arising from the To Be process design / architecture Data Strategy and Governance: • Develop and maintain a data strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and ensures compliance with data governance policies and regulations. • Establish data quality standards and processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across various systems and platforms. Data Security and Privacy: • Implement robust data security measures to safeguard sensitive information and comply with data privacy regulations. • Collaborate with the security team to establish access controls and data encryption protocols. • Ensure platforms selected meet the security requirements at a group level Data Analytics and Reporting: • Work with data analysts and business intelligence teams to define data requirements for analytical and reporting purposes. • Ensure that the data architecture supports the generation of accurate and actionable insights for business users. Collaboration and Leadership: • Collaborate with stakeholders, business leaders, and IT teams to understand data needs and provide technical expertise and guidance. • Lead and mentor junior data team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. AXA - GBS Internal Requirements: • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven experience (12-14 years) as a Data Architect or in a similar role, handling large-scale data infrastructure and architectures. • Proficiency in data modelling techniques, database design, and data integration principles. • Expertise in Cloud platforms (ServiceNow, Salesforce, SAP S4Hana etc) SQL, NoSQL databases, and data warehousing technologies. • Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and governance best practices. • Familiarity with data analytics, reporting tools, and business intelligence concepts. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into data solutions. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. • Certifications in relevant data management technologies or frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA, etc.) would be a plus.
