Head - Data Management:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy for the unit in alignment with the company's overall goals.
- Identify growth opportunities and market trends within the data governance services sector.
- Establish partnership engagement with popular data governance product organizations such as data bricks, snowflake etc.
2. Revenue Growth:
- Build a solid hunting strategy around acquiring new clients and cross-selling data governance services in existing accounts.
- Foster strong client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to develop pricing strategies and proposals.
3. P&L Leadership:
- Develop and own the P&L for the Data Management Services Business Unit.
- Set and achieve financial targets, including revenue and profit margins.
- Onboard relevant skills or facilitate training/certifications for existing resources to build a fully functional data services business unit
4. Operational Excellence:
- Manage the operational aspects of the business unit, ensuring efficient service delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Implement best practices, process improvements, and quality assurance measures.
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets to meet client expectations.
5. Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing team by recruiting, training, and developing talent.
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members and provide regular performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture within the business unit.
6. Client Advocacy:
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their needs and driving client-focused solutions.
- Gather client feedback and translate it into actionable improvements and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in relevant field.
- Industry certifications (CDMP, AWS/Azure/GCP, etc.)
- Experience with specific industry verticals (Banking, Finance, Insurance, Healthcare).
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Publications or speaking engagements in data architecture.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in data architecture and solutions design.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with MDM implementations.
- Proven track record in delivering enterprise-scale data projects.
Technical Skills:
- Expert knowledge of data modelling techniques (dimensional, relational, NoSQL)
- Extensive experience with major MDM platforms (Informatica MDM, IBM MDM, etc.)
- Proficiency in CDP platforms (Segment, Tealium, Adobe, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data integration patterns and ETL/ELT processes.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of data governance tools and frameworks.
