The position is responsible for providing I.T. leadership, solutions and support to AXA XL, a division of AXA, Claims applications from AXA XL India office. Claims applications include enterprise critical claim handling applications used by AXA XL s claims business users across the globe. Major focus for this role is to provide technical leadership in AXA XL claims application changes and data flow and oversee delivery of technical changes. Will need to work collaboratively with vendor resources. An ideal candidate for this role is expected to have an effective hands-on technical leadership in Microsoft .Net VB.Net/C# .Net, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, WCF, Web API, Azure. Technical Leads could oversee a group of developers within a Delivery Team and help to manage day-to-day tasks to ensure high levels of productivity, accuracy, and work priority. Technical Leads may also have development responsibility. This includes the development and maintenance of custom applications as well as the customization of products from software vendors.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
Provide hands on technical leadership for critical claims applications and how they interact with other platforms.
Technically leads other developers, including assignment of work.
Overall ownership for the design, development, implementation and monitoring the solutions for claims business processes. Responsible to ensure AXA XL audit guidelines are followed in supporting business processes.
Accountable for end to end data flow for Claims product suite leading technical discussions and managing issue resolutions.
Accountable for managing claims incidents and changes across the applications.
Provide project management for application enhancement and business process changes.
Accountable for design and delivery of key technical changes.
Assists to maintain development standards for design, coding, etc. (Pen Test, Disaster Recovery, and the likes).
May perform design activities in collaboration with the Technical Architect.
Assists in removing impediments to progress.
Support resolution of defects during application testing phases.
Estimate work requests at various levels of confidence.
Establish and maintain product health dashboard across various applications.

Required Skills and Abilities:
Relevant years of hands-on experience in Microsoft .Net VB.Net/C# .Net, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, WCF, Web API.
Proficiency with multiple application delivery models including Agile, iterative and waterfall.
Application changes complete on-time, to a target level of quality/ managing vendor partners and internal/ external stakeholders.
Timely and accurate completion of Software Development Lifecycle deliverables in a manner that is auditable, testable, and maintainable.
Implementation consistent with solution design and business specifications.
Ensure for technical integrity of changes made to systems as per the audit defined standards.
Adherence to development governance & SDLC standards.
Team leadership abilities required, including experience leading and mentoring development professionals.
Must be able to set priorities and multi-task.
Broad understanding of application development and support technologies.
Adaptable to new/different strategies, programs, technologies, practices, cultures, etc. Comfortable with change, able to easily make transitions.
Ability to work self-directedly with less supervision is required.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills are required.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, business management, or a related field preferred.
Prior work experience in an insurance claims setup or technology field preferred.
Able to organize self and others including effective scheduling, prioritization, and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines.
Proven track record to provide a consistently first-class customer service internally and/or externally.
Ability to build effective working relationships (Internally/Externally), establishing credibility amongst a wide and demanding client group.
Comfortable taking ownership and accountability for own work and for the team, identifying the need for action (using initiative) whilst working effectively within a team.
