SAP PS Consultant - Integration & Configuration (6-8 yrs)

Overview :

This is a key role where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful system integration, testing, and deployment.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Data Management : Assist in data collection, profiling, cleansing, mapping, conversion, transformation, validation, loading, and reconciliation for SAP PS modules.

- System Configuration Review : Review and validate system configuration to ensure that it aligns with business requirements and project objectives.

- Role & Authorization Management : Build roles and manage authorizations, ensuring alignment with business functions and responsibilities.

- Utilize RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) principles to assign permissions based on user roles.

- Collaboration with Technical Consultants : Work closely with technical consultants and SI (System Integrators) to ensure that the system's technical aspects are in line with business requirements, enabling smooth integration and deployment.

- Testing : Participate in various testing activities such as integration testing, performance testing, and regression testing to ensure that all components of the system function seamlessly together.

- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Facilitate UAT by preparing test cases, guiding end users through the testing process, and ensuring effective feedback loops for system improvements.

- End-User Training : Assist in providing training to end users to ensure smooth adoption of the system and effective use of the SAP PS module.

- Knowledge Transfer : Provide knowledge transfer to the IT team and ensure a smooth transition to the Run & Support phase.

- Solution Delivery Lead Backup : Serve as a back-up to CITG Solution Delivery Leads when required, providing necessary support for solution delivery and project activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 6+ years of experience in SAP PS (Project Systems) with strong expertise in system configuration, testing, and integration.

- SAP PS Expertise : In-depth knowledge of SAP PS module, including project structure, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), network, and milestone management.

- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) : Experience with RBAC for managing roles and authorizations, ensuring users have access only to the necessary functions within SAP PS.

- Testing Skills : Solid experience in various testing activities including integration, performance, regression, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).

- Collaboration & Communication : Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business analysts, and system integrators to ensure business requirements are met and system configurations are aligned.

- Training & Knowledge Transfer : Experience in preparing training materials and conducting end-user training sessions.

- Strong ability to provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

- Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address data conversion issues, system errors, and performance problems.

- Documentation : Excellent documentation skills to create test cases, training materials, and configuration documents.

- Adaptability : Ability to work in a remote environment and manage tasks independently while maintaining strong communication with the team.

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of SAP PS (Project Systems) module, including configuration and integration aspects.

- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC, particularly in the PS module.

- Experience with SAP Fiori and SAP Cloud Platform is a plus.

- Knowledge of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) for reporting on PS data is a plus.

- Experience in data migration and integration between SAP systems and other platforms.

- Familiarity with SAP security and authorizations, especially using RBAC (Role-Based Access Control).

- Strong experience with SAP testing tools and methodologies (including HP ALM, SAP Solution Manager).

- Knowledge of SAP Project Management tools and techniques, including project structuring, budgeting, and tracking.

- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation in SAP environments.

- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies for SAP implementations.

Preferred Skills :

- SAP S/4HANA Knowledge : Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations is a plus.

- Project Management : Understanding of project management processes within SAP PS to help manage project timelines and deliverables.

- Certifications : SAP PS certification is a plus but not required
