Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced SAP PS (Project System) Consultant to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of SAP Project System modules and hands-on expertise in implementation, configuration, and support. This role requires a proactive individual capable of delivering end-to-end SAP PS solutions that align with business requirements and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities :
SAP PS Implementation & Support :
- Lead and participate in SAP PS implementation projects, from requirement gathering to go-live and post-go-live support.
- Provide ongoing system support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for SAP PS solutions.
Business Process Analysis :
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project management requirements and translate them into SAP PS solutions.
- Design processes for managing project lifecycles, cost structures, and resource allocation.
Configuration & Customization :
- Configure SAP PS modules, including WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), Networks, Activities, and Milestones.
- Implement cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management within SAP PS.
Integration Management :
- Ensure seamless integration of SAP PS with other SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and PP.
- Support data migration and interface development for SAP PS functionalities.
Reporting & Analytics :
- Develop and deliver customized reports and dashboards using SAP reporting tools.
- Provide insights into project progress, costs, and performance for decision-making.
Documentation & Training :
- Prepare detailed documentation for configurations, test cases, and user manuals.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective utilization of SAP PS functionalities.
Required Technical Skills :
Core Expertise :
- Strong understanding of SAP PS functionalities, including WBS, Networks, Activities, Milestones, Costing, Budgeting, and Resource Management.
- Experience with Progress Analysis and Earned Value Management (EVM).
Integration Knowledge :
- Familiarity with integration points between SAP PS and FI/CO, MM, SD, and PP modules.
Configuration & Customization :
- Proficiency in SAP PS module configuration and customization.
- Ability to create and manage templates for repetitive projects.
Tools & Reporting :
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications related to project systems.
- Experience in SAP BI/BW for project reporting and analytics.
Technical Understanding :
- Basic knowledge of ABAP debugging (preferred but not mandatory).
Required Soft Skills :
- Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving : Analytical mindset to assess complex requirements and develop suitable solutions.
- Team Collaboration : Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail : Ensure accuracy in configurations, reporting, and documentation.
- Adaptability : Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Educational Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related fields.
- SAP PS certification is highly desirable.
