Data Quality Consultant - Metadata (10-15 yrs)

We are currently looking for Data Quality Consultant.

Location: Abudhabi. onsite.

Implementation of DQ controls comprising of below steps :

- Collect Metadata from all businesses/functions (as described in Data Quality policy and standards).

- Initiate / pilot the process of Risk & Impact Assessment (RIA) to monitor the effectiveness of the DQ controls.

- Data quality function is looking to on-board a DQ consultant in order to achieve these objectives.

Activities to be performed :

1) Setting up & Executing the DQ program (consists of all the below steps).

2) Collect Metadata for all the below DQ controls from all businesses/functions (as described in Data Quality policy and standards).

3) The DQ controls includes :

- Identification of Critical Business Process.

- Identification of Critical Data Elements (CDEs).

- Define the Business Glossary.

- Define Business & Technical Data Dictionary.

- Document the Data Lineage from Golden source to ultimate downstream systems.

- Perform Data handshake between provider and the consumer.

- Data Profiling the CDEs including the DQ rules and monitoring.

- Data Reconciliation between two systems where a file/data is being transferred.

- Change impact assessment to be informed by the provider to the consumer.

4) Perform end to end Risk & Impact Assessment (RIA) process to monitor the effectiveness of the DQ controls defined by 1st line of business teams for all business units.

5) POC for Metadata / DQ Tools to validate if they are fit for purpose.

6) Socialize & Train the business users or Data Stewards on Metadata / DQ tool.

7) Migrate the collected Metadata to the tool.

8) Perform Risk & Impact assessments bi-annually with all business/functions.

9) Ensure all DQ controls are implemented via Data Quality program.

Skills required :

- Subject matter expert (SME) in Data Quality.

- Must have experience in implementing the DQ controls.

- Must have experience in implementing any DQ tool.

- Risk and control self-assessment process experience is must to conduct risk & impact assessment.

- Excellent Project management and Stakeholder management skills.

- 10-15 years of experience overall and 4-7 years of experience in Data Quality.

- Banking experience is a must.

- Consulting experience is good to have.

- DAMA certified is good to have.
