BMC Truesight Server Automation Engineer (2-5 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated BMC TrueSight Server Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our infrastructure using BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSA) and related technologies. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our server environment through automation, configuration management, and proactive issue resolution. You will also contribute to our AIOps initiatives, driving self-healing automation and improving overall service reliability.

Responsibilities :

BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSA) Management :

- Design, implement, and maintain BMC TrueSight Server Automation solutions for server provisioning, patching, compliance, and configuration management.

- Develop and maintain BLPackages, Deploy Jobs, Compliance Jobs, and other TSA components.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to TSA deployments and operations.

- Optimize TSA performance and ensure scalability.

- Implement and enforce security best practices within the TSA environment.

Event Management and Monitoring :

- Work with BMC TrueSight Operations Management (TSOM) and Interlink ASI products to develop automation, APIs, and self-service capabilities.

- Provide Level 3 production support on a rotational basis, including follow-the-sun support.

- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.

- Contribute to the implementation of AIOps solutions using machine learning and self-healing automation.

- Work with Splunk ITSI or similar AIOps tools.

Scripting and Automation :

- Develop and maintain Python and shell scripts for automation tasks.

- Develop and consume APIs for integration with other systems.

Process and ITIL :

- Strong understanding of ITIL concepts and service management processes.

- Adhere to established processes and procedures.

Infrastructure Monitoring :

- 4-5 years of experience in BMC Patrol/Truesight for Infrastructure Monitoring (System level/DB monitoring/ Middleware).

- Strong hold on Unix commands.

Skills & Experience Required :

- 2-3 years of experience with BMC TrueSight Operations Manager (TSOM).

- 1-2 years of experience with Interlink ASI products.

- 1-3 years of experience with ServiceNow.

- 1-2 years of experience with Splunk ITSI or other AIOps products.

- 4-5 years of experience in BMC Patrol/Truesite for Infrastructure Monitoring (System level/DB monitoring/ Middleware).

- Strong understanding of Unix commands.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with service management tools.

- Experience in engaging with customers/users to gather requirements.

- Solid understanding of process and ITIL concepts.

Optional/Nice to Have :

- 6 months - 1 year of experience with Python scripting.

- 1-2 years of experience with shell scripting.

- 1-3 years of experience with API development.

- Banking domain knowledge.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., BMC Certified Professional) are a plus.
