Compliance Analyst

Job Summary-

As a Compliance Analyst, you will be the first point of contact for client communications, handling both internal and external inquiries about compliance services. Success in this role requires ownership of client satisfaction, empathy for their needs, and the ability to communicate complex compliance information clearly. You'll also manage escalations on time.

You shall report to the Lead/Manager.

Job Duties-

Tasks: You will have to file compliance registrations on time, follow up with regulatory agencies on application status, manage projects in proprietary software, and track work activity using time tracking tools.

Relationship Management: You will have to understand client businesses through collaboration, adapting to each client's unique needs, geographic reach, and growth strategy.

Training: You will have to provide ongoing education, communicate new enhancements, and promote the adoption of technology to help clients self-serve. Partner with the Customer Success Manager to ensure clients maximize the benefits of Avalara's software, while fostering positive relationships with coworkers, vendors, and clients.

Shift timings- 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM/ 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM/ 4:00 PM to 01:00 AM

Qualifications-

• 3+ years in Customer Onboarding/Support
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent (MBA in Finance preferred.)

Technical Skills:

• Proven track record of meeting deadlines
• Ability to work across multiple systems
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make recommendations and collaborate
• Ability to manage priorities, resources, and confidential information
• Experience with Salesforce (1+ year) and automated tax solutions

Preferred:

• Knowledge of government compliance, licensing, tax compliance, and the alcohol beverage industry
• Strong written and verbal English skills
• Professional interaction with employees and customers

Nice to Have:

• Experience in product-based companies
• Familiarity with SaaS-based solutions
