- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to enhance the visibility and impact of the Fund.
- Ensure alignment with the organisation's broader communication goals while maintaining a distinct and recognizable identity for the team.
- Lead messaging, positioning, and storytelling to drive the Fund's growth and expansion.
- Content & Platform Management: Oversee the editorial direction, design, production, and effective dissemination of all organizational publications and platforms, including the website, annual report, newsletters, and philanthropy/development content.
- Thought Leadership & Public Engagement: Identify and create speaking opportunities for the senior leadership, philanthropists, and non-profit partners at national and global events to amplify thought leadership and engage new audiences.
- Planning, Budgeting & Evaluation: Develop and manage short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing, communications, and public relations efforts, ensuring timely execution, adherence to goals, and impact evaluation.
- Design and implement a Communications & Amplification Plan to track the effectiveness of communication efforts, leveraging insights and engaging external agencies when necessary.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams across, ensuring synergies with other communication verticals to maximize outreach and engagement.
Capacity Building: Lead capacity-building initiatives to strengthen the communications and digital presence of grassroots organizations, enhancing their visibility and influence.
Management Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Mentor and lead a team of individuals working in social media, PR, research and thought leadership to execute the communications strategy effectively.
Organizational Growth & Development:
- Contribute to team and organizational growth, including staffing, hiring, financial planning, reporting, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Stakeholder Management:
- Lead network teams, leveraging resources across the organization to deliver a high-quality, impactful experience for donors and stakeholders.
- MBA from a recognized institution.
- 4-5 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field, preferably within the social sector.
