Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Lead the analysis of complex financial data to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to forecast future performance and assess the impact of strategic decisions.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to support specific business initiatives and decision-making.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the FP&A team, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture by promoting open communication, teamwork, and professional development.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard talented finance professionals to strengthen the team.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, board members, and external partners.
- Effectively communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences, tailoring messages to their specific needs.
- Collaborate with program teams to understand their financial needs and provide tailored support.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance financial operations.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in financial analysis and reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting, preferably in a nonprofit or social impact organization.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL).
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
