Job Description:

Astral Limited is looking for an experienced Manager Instrument R&D to lead the testing, calibration, and maintenance of advanced laboratory instruments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in MMFT, UTM, Viscometer, GC (Gas Chromatography), analytical testing labs, and instrumentation maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Testing & Instrumentation:

• Conduct instrumental analysis and testing in R&D and quality labs.
• Operate and maintain MMFT, UTM, Viscometer, GC, and other analytical instruments.
• Develop and improve testing protocols for accurate results.

🔹 Calibration & Maintenance:

• Ensure regular calibration of all instruments for precise measurement.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for equipment longevity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrument-related issues.

🔹 Record Keeping & Compliance:

• Maintain detailed records of testing, calibration, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, ASTM, and other industry standards.
• Prepare reports and documentation for audits and regulatory approvals.

🔹 Team Coordination & Training:

• Guide and train lab personnel on proper equipment usage and safety standards.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality Control, and Production teams for instrument-related requirements.

Key Skills & Attributes:

✔ Expertise in MMFT, UTM, Viscometer, GC, and analytical testing
✔ Strong knowledge of instrument calibration & maintenance
✔ Hands-on experience in analytical testing labs
✔ Ability to maintain records and ensure regulatory compliance
✔ Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Qualifications:

🎓 Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related fields
📌 6-10 years of experience in instrumentation & testing in R&D labs
📌 Industry preference: Adhesives, Polymers, Chemicals, FMCG, or Pharmaceuticals
