Job Description
- Lead the development and execution of communications and outreach strategy, which maintains and enhances our position as a leader in the space. Create critical linkages to institute outcomes.
- Manage internal team and external freelancers to perform the work.
- Create best-in-class presentations and reports for existing and potential donors to drive a narrative that enhances the repute of the institute.
- Lead the development of website content, social media presence, and institutional collateral.
- Drive media engagement to maintain our organization as a thought leader in the AI for social impact space, while building sustainable relationships with key media partners.
Fundraising Strategy and Execution
- Design and implement comprehensive strategies for institutional partnerships and fundraising initiatives. This position will carry a goal for the amount of funds raised. Ensure long term donor relationships.
- Develop narratives and impact documentation to showcase our work to funders.
- Develop relationships with foundations, grant-making institutions, and funding partners. Lead outreach and relationship building with corporate CSR teams to attain funds.
- Build and maintain a diverse portfolio of funding sources and strategic partnerships.
Event Management and External Relations
- Plan and execute organizational events that showcase the organizations work and impact. Represent the organization at external events and conferences.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders. Coordinate speaking opportunities and thought leadership platforms.
- Manage vendor relationships for event production and communications needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work independently, drive results.
- Experience in fundraising, donor management, and communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling narratives. Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in managing teams and collaborating across functions.
Prerequisites include:
- At least 8-15 years of relevant work experience in leadership roles with a minimum of 4 years in a managerial position.
- Experience of having worked with any grant making institutions or CSRs before (or) raised funds for a non-profit (or) have experience in corporate / consulting in areas such as strategy, marketing, and fundraising. Knowledge of FCRA regulations, processes, and reporting requirements and ability to ensure compliance in all fundraising and donor engagement activities.
