This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and experience in managing chemical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage chemical production processes, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Lead a team of chemical engineers and technical staff to drive operational excellence.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve process efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Design and optimize chemical processing systems, evaluating new technologies and methodologies.
• Monitor and analyse production data, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime and enhance performance.
• Prepare and manage budgets for chemical production activities and projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
• Liaise with other departments, such as maintenance, quality control, and supply chain, to ensure smooth operations.
• Report to senior management on production performance, key issues, and improvement plans.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience (typically 20+ years) in chemical manufacturing or process engineering, with at least 8 years in a managerial role.
• In-depth knowledge of chemical processes, production systems, and industrial equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.

Effective communication skills for cross-department collaboration and reporting
