Senior Accountant

Job Overview

• We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee daily accounting operations.
• The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and compliance. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Corporate Accounting: Manage corporate financial records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger management, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow) and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• System Management: Ensure effective use of accounting software and financial systems.
• Proficiency in Income Tax and GST, ensuring timely filing of returns and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Fundamental understanding of Company Law and its applications.
• Manage audits, coordinate with auditors, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Handle tax planning and ensure adherence to direct and indirect tax laws.
• Multi-company Accounting Experience: Manage financial operations across multiple entities within the organization.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Fund Accounting: Oversee and manage fund-based accounting activities.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Implement and improve internal financial controls and processes.
• Technology: Stay updated with advancements in accounting technologies and implement relevant financial tools for efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10 -15 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of Income Tax, GST, and other statutory compliances.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, SAP, or other accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
