Senior Manager/AGM/DGM

REQUIREMENT

Position : Sr. Manager/AGM/DGM (JOB CODE : CHB20)

Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering

Location : Benin (West Africa)

Experience:

• Minimum 20+ years of experience in managing large-scale
  infrastructure projects, specifically in rural electrification or
  power distribution.
• Overseas experience is preferable.

Roles & Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership:

• Lead and manage the Rural Electrification Projects,
  ensuring the project is completed within scope, time, and
  budget.
• Oversee project planning, execution, and commissioning,
  coordinating with all stakeholders including local
  authorities, contractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and proactively solve any
  issues that may arise throughout the project lifecycle.
  

2. Business Development :

• Explore and create business opportunities.
• Identification of the right partner for JV wherever needed.
• Ensuring timely submission of technical & financial bids.
• Ensuring bid-to-win ratio as per internal plan.

3. Project Management:

• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and
  resources to ensure timely project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards,
  and international best practices.
• Conduct regular project meetings and report progress to
  senior management and stakeholders.

4.Team Management:
• Lead a multidisciplinary project team, providing guidance
and support.
• Mentor junior project managers and engineers, fostering a
collaborative and results-driven team culture.
• Ensure that all team members adhere to project processes,
safety standards, and technical specifications.

5.Stakeholder Communication:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with government
officials, contractors, and local communities.
• Communicate project status, risks, and challenges to key
stakeholders regularly.
• Prepare and present periodic project reports to management
and external partners.

6.Quality Control and Assurance:
• Ensure that the installation, and commissioning of electrical
works meet the projects quality standards.
• Ensure work is carried out according to technical standards
& specifications.
• Implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain
project quality and safety.

ADDITIONAL SJILLS

• Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with experience
  managing teams in an international or challenging environment.
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of electrical engineering
  principles, including power systems, and distribution networks.
• Project Management Skills: Proven track record of managing
  multi-disciplinary teams, large budgets, and complex timelines.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Travel/Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Benin and travel to any location for site visit and coordination.
